Biographical Sketch
I am a teacher and English for Second Language Learners (ESLL) Program
coordinator at Lanakila Elementary School. Currently, I am on
sabbatical leave,
being a participant in the Technology Intensive Enhancement Series
program at the University
of Hawaii. Although I had been working with the computer for
years, using word processing, spread sheet, e-mails, some data-base,
and certain software
programs, I did not have much time to keep up with the knowledge and
skills in
technology and I frequently had troubles with the computer not knowing
what to do.
My goals for the TIES program are to learn more about the computer and
to create a program
which my ESLL students can easily have access to in order to improve
their
English. I hope I will be able to apply what I have learned from
this program when I return to the
classroom next school year.
In this portfolio, I am collecting different forms of electronic
writing I have experienced in my class, ETEC 498: Writing
as/with Technology.
