Some comments from students on field-test experiences with On ePortfolios

  • I learned a lot. They mixed up different characters and modes and kept you interested.
  • I liked it. I thought it was cute and creative with a lot of different ways of presenting the material, and the graphics and animation and people in the video. And I liked the robot. He was cute.
  • I liked the mysterious part of quantum and it was educational. I liked the component where everyone is talking about the different type of media - with the caveman. The media tool kit was very informative and I liked the way they displayed it.
  • I think overall the way, the different activities and the scenery and that it was fun activities to work with. It's a good method of learning because its fun.
  • I liked the movies, and the cave man and the art school one... It was entertaining and gave me info. And the getting corrected right away was good.
  • I liked Your Media Tool Kit and it was presented really nicely.
  • Hitting the mark- because you could miss, it wasn't like we are going to make you do it. It also gave you good information. I liked the job search one. It was cute. All had very different themes and so it wasn't boring or repetitive and kept you interested.
  • I also liked the Keep It Legal. It was interactive and I really liked that and that you got to test yourself.
  • Yes, especially Your Media Tool Kit. The strengths and limitations and the video clip. I liked that one the best because as soon as I watched the video clip then it clicked and made more sense.
  • The Archives and Artifacts, I learned just because of the accidents, the shock. But then I realized the right way to save it. That was helpful.
  • I liked it. Nicely put together. I like the Archives and Artifacts with the old fashioned looks.
  • About electronic portfolios. I really had no idea except for the fact that I knew you brought stuff together. It was neat to know that there was this to help. Some of these things weren't totally necessary to just start making it. And it gave the strategies on how to use one. How do I do copyright? How much music do I use?
  • But then again at the end the answering machine, I really liked how that was portrayed; even though it was silly, and people had strange names it was realistic. Your resume and portfolio are not what we are looking for. All the problems you could run into with your ePortfolio.
  • Yes, this is something I would go back to. Especially the Visual Design, the Framing Your Content, Form and Function, and the job search ones.
